The Prayer Zone

The prayer zone is a relaxed area, with cushions and bean bags scattered around a papered floor. The centrepiece of the area was a tall bubble tube. Pupils were invited to sit and relax here, taking time out of busy school life to think about the things that are on their minds.

Bubble Tube

Pupils can write prayers directly onto the floor or on post-it notes which were stuck onto the bubble tube. The bubbles rise as a symbol of our prayers going 'up' to God.

Big Questions?

If you could ask God one question, what would it be? Pupils are invited to add their question to a large sheet of paper on the floor which soon fills up, generating discussion in all sorts of directions as they suggest answers for each others' questions and think of more things to ask.
